Every film leaves behind a trail of artifacts.
Some get thrown away. Some disappear into studio archives. A handful somehow survive the chaos of production and end up in my storage unit… waiting for someone who appreciates the story behind the story.
This collection comes directly from the making of Spiral: From the Book of Saw and represents an incredible snapshot of the film’s evolution—from its earliest days as The Organ Donor to the finished movie audiences saw in theaters.
Included in this collection is a signed Spiral SteelBook, along with an original The Organ Donor screenplay—the film’s original working title before it became Spiral. The screenplay has been signed by screenwriter Josh Stolberg, offering a rare glimpse into the project’s earliest incarnation.
Also included are several pieces of original production concept art that were actually displayed on stage during filming. These pieces hung on the walls of our production office while we designed and built the unforgettable Subway Trap, serving as visual guides for the crew as we developed one of the film’s signature sequences.
The collection also includes an original production call sheet, used by the cast and crew during filming, along with storyboards taken directly from my personal directing binder. These boards were the same ones I referenced while planning and shooting scenes, complete with the wear and tear that comes from living on set.
One of my favorite pieces in this collection is an early rendering of Mr. Snuggles, capturing the character long before audiences ever met him on screen. It’s a fascinating look at how the design evolved during production.
Every item has been personally signed by me, Darren Lynn Bousman, with several pieces also signed by screenwriter Josh Stolberg, making this a unique collaboration between the film’s director and writer.
Whether you’re a lifelong Saw collector, fascinated by the filmmaking process, or simply love owning genuine pieces of horror history, this collection offers an intimate look behind the curtain at the creation of one of the franchise’s most ambitious chapters.
Thank you for helping preserve these pieces of production history. They’ve survived the journey from our set… into my attic… and now, hopefully, into your collection.
