This is the death of Eric Mathews.

Included in this lot is the original trap design concept artwork for the Ice Block mechanism from SAW IV — the device that ultimately crushes Mathews’ head in one of the franchise’s most brutal and inevitable endings. The framed design sketch shows the mechanical breakdown of the suspended block, the gear system, the weight measurements, the pressure mechanics — the cold engineering behind a moment that audiences knew was coming… but still weren’t ready for.

Alongside the artwork are original pages from the SAW IV shooting draft covering the exact sequence of the countdown, the gunshot, the final switch, and the slam of the jaws. These are production-used script pages, pulled from the working draft, documenting the beats as written before the chaos unfolded on screen. You can see the tension built right there in black and white — “Two… One—” and then impact.

And for good measure, included is a printed still from the moment of death itself — the red-lit explosion of the trap in action. The instant the game ends.

All pieces are signed by me.

This isn’t just a prop or a poster. It’s the full anatomy of a kill:

  • The mechanical blueprint

  • The written blueprint

  • The final frame

Concept to execution. Page to steel. Countdown to crush.

For collectors of the SAW mythology, this represents the culmination of Eric Mathews’ arc — and one of the franchise’s most unforgettable endings — preserved in three stages of creation.
