This is an original, screen-used / road-worn shirt from The Devil’s Carnival Road Tour (2012).

This shirt is not merchandise pulled from a box.

It's a time capsule.... the traveling screenings, performances, Q&As, and late-night conversations that followed the film city to city. The period where The Devil’s Carnival stopped being just a movie and became a shared experience between the creators and the audience.

The Road Tour was born out of necessity and stubbornness. Terrance Zdunich and I wanted to make a sequel to REPO! The Genetic Opera. That wasn’t in our control. So instead of stopping, we dragged the opera into the carnival... took it on the road, put it face-to-face with the people who kept these films alive.

This shirt lived in that moment.

It was never meant to be preserved.

It was meant to be worn until it fell apart.

What you’re holding is a surviving piece of that era... an artifact from the strange, exhausting, and deeply personal stretch where The Devil’s Carnival found its audience one room at a time.
